Otto lives in a book in a house but when no one is looking he comes to life to read his favorite stories and practice his writing, until he is left behind and must set out in search of a new home.

At bedtime, Cedric the dragon wants his mother to read his favorite book again, and again, and again.

Open this Little Book by Jesse Klausmeier

Pages of decreasing, then increasing, size open to reveal different animals, each opening a book of a different color and reading about the next.

Flannel board

The flannel board story is based on Oliver Jeffers’ picture book The Incredible Book Eating Boy. Not necessarily about food per se, but certainly amplifies our theme of Reading is So Delicious!

The story is about Henry who loves to eat books.

Jane Gov

Jane is a Youth Services Librarian at Pasadena Central Library. She purchases YA books for the library system and maintains the teen booklist, online resources, and webpages. She oversees Teen & YA programs including Summer Reading, Advisory Board, Zine, book reviewers, Teen Mental Health Initiative, and volunteers. She also coordinates the library's Innovation Lab, STEAM Kits project, and Young Readers League. She also conducts a few kids events and storytimes. Jane is a contributor to VOYA Magazine and a YALSA Board member.  A majority of her free time is spent with her two corgis Tyrion and Gimli. She tweets as @missjanegov.
