Here are the stories and songs we presented during Baby Storytime at Jefferson Branch Library in May 2023.

Dear Zoo by Rod Campbell (picture)

Each animal arriving from the zoo as a possible pet fails to suit its prospective owner, until just the right one is found. Movable flaps reveal the contents of each package.

Who can Jump? By Sebastien Braun

A lift-the-flap book featuring partially hidden illustrations of animals that can jump. A guessing game providing hours of fun for babies.

Ten little fingers by Annie Kubler

An illustrated board book with words and music to a song celebrating all the things a child can make ten fingers do, including shutting them up tight and opening them wide.

Auntie and Me by Karen Katz

“Auntie is coming for a very special visit! Peek under the easy-to-lift flaps to see why a day with Auntie is filled with big surprises”

There, There by Taro Miura (picture)

“The answer to the question “What does the animal say?” takes a clever turn when a “cluck, cluck,” a “woof, woof,” and a “moo, moo” are met with a toddler’s “wah, wah!” Uh-oh! Now the frog also says…”

I Love You

· Your knees and toes.

· I love you

· Up to the sky

· Past the moon

· And stars so high,

· If you feel alone and scared,

· Always know that I’ll be there,

· Just like one and one makes two,

· You love me

· And I love you.
