Books We Shared
In Red Light Green Light by Anastasia Suen we learn that red means STOP, green means GO and yellow means SLOW! This book is full of cars, trucks, trains and helicopters in motion. There is traffic everywhere! But we quickly learn that it is best to listen to those traffic signals (even if its only make-believe).
Let’s Go! by Sarah Williamson introduces us to Tuski (the Elephant) who is driving a big, red van. He picks up all kinds of things along the way including some colorful fruit and fish. He also manages to wait for a swarm of ladybugs to cross the road and hop onto his vehicle, picks up stacks and stacks of pancakes and a worm and heads up, up, up hill! Guess what happens? Gravity isn’t kind! This book is colorful, quirky and suspenseful. I wasn’t sure how it would go over with a toddler group but it was surprisingly well received.
