Maybe even over-prepared. When she meets Hannah Marks, a girl who claims to know when the world will end, her life is turned upside down.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"freebirdCommonAnalyticsTextResponse freebirdLightBackground\">The story tackles many difficult issues such as religion, sexual identity, and mental health, but Ellis&#8217; character development seems to be highly lacking. She maintains the same beliefs all throughout the story, and by the end, doesn&#8217;t really seem different from the beginning.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"freebirdCommonAnalyticsTextResponse freebirdLightBackground\">However, I do appreciate the other characters&#8217; developments. As the story progresses, even Ellis&#8217; sibling Emmy is a bit wiser than before.
