To celebrate Teen Read Week<\/a>, an annual national literacy awareness initiative specifically to encourage teens to be regular readers and library users, we decided to showcase teens reading with a photo contest.<\/p>\n

Below are the winners of the contest! \u00a0The photos will be featured in our new Teen Zine (to be printed early 2014). Congratulations to all our winners and thank you to all our participants.<\/p>\n

The contest: Just snap a photo of yourself or your friends reading a book! \u00a0The first place winner will receive a $50 gift card; second and third place will also receive prizes. Entries are judged by the Pasadena Public Library Youth Services staff based on the quality, creativity, and submission guidelines.<\/p>\n
