The Fault in Our Stars by John Green<\/p>\n

The Fault in our Stars<\/em> by John Green, is the story of Augustus Waters and Hazel Grace Lancaster, two cancer survivors, whose lives are turned upside down through an extraordinary meeting on an ordinary day. Although this title is also known throughout the cinematic world, I picked up this book two years prior to the movie’s release. And can I just say, even though I forgot some things before, reading it again reminded me why this book was so amazing in the first place.<\/div>\n

The title is based on a Shakesperean poem, and is filled with romance, humor, and philosophy. Green expertly lures you in through Hazel’s wise beyond her years persona, and leaves you laughing, and even tearing up a little to the very last sentence. This isn’t just a romance novel; the protagonists also contemplate love, death, and the meaning of life itself.<\/p>\n

Point is, this is set in modern times, but with a different twist. Although the characters’ situation is different from that of most people, it’s exactly what gives it enough of a twist to help you realize how alike we are. I can think of a few things that are relatable to everyone; the pressures of society, fitting in, leaving an impact on someone or someplace. You’ll like it; just give it a try!<\/p>\n
