{"id":1589,"date":"2015-03-06T09:00:40","date_gmt":"2015-03-06T17:00:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pasadena-library.net\/teens\/?p=1589"},"modified":"2015-03-27T12:45:58","modified_gmt":"2015-03-27T19:45:58","slug":"the-boy-with-compliments-a-poem","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pasadena-library.net\/teens\/2015\/the-boy-with-compliments-a-poem\/","title":{"rendered":"The Boy With Compliments &#8212; a poem"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>The Boy with Compliments<\/h3>\n<p>by Christal Lee, grade 8<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s this boy in two of my classes<\/p>\n<p>He wears many hoodies<\/p>\n<p>But he won\u2019t wear hats, suspenders or glasses<\/p>\n<p>Though he does have the mind of a goody, goody<\/p>\n<p>He is the boy with compliments<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Around the class he is very helpful<\/p>\n<p>He is friendly and fun to hang around with<\/p>\n<p>He acts respectful<\/p>\n<p>He is this<\/p>\n<p>The boy with compliments<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>His hands feel sandy<\/p>\n<p>His eyes are dark brown<\/p>\n<p>Has a voice sweet like candy<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes he acts like a clown<\/p>\n<p>But he is the boy with compliments<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>He gives corny advice<\/p>\n<p>Has a smile too bright<\/p>\n<p>Always says something nicer<\/p>\n<p>And he won\u2019t fight<\/p>\n<p>The boy with compliment<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Christal is a participant of <a href=\"http:\/\/afterschool-programs.pusd.schoolfusion.us\/modules\/groups\/integrated_home.phtml?gid=942979&amp;sessionid=885df74c4c59fab2f8e738330cf71fa2\" target=\"_blank\">Pasadena LEARNS<\/a>&#8216; writing program.<\/p>\n<p>See this poem and many others in our Spring 2015 Teen Zine.
