In honor of Teen Read Week (October 13-19), we had several prize drawings and contests during the month of October.

photo contest gift cardsFirst up are the winners of the Photo Contest.  Each winner received a gift card (either $50, $25 or $20) and their photos will be printed in our new Teen Zine (2014).  View their winning entries here.

basket westridgeWe also had a drawing for teens who completed a Survey. The prize was a basket of new or popular teen books.  Winner:  Emma Hovanec
scav huntAnd finally, during the month of October, we had a self-directed Teen Scavenger Hunt.  Teens were able to pick up a worksheet in Teen Central, then fill in answers to questions about the library (programs, location of items, displays); this activity required teens to search for areas in the library building.  All entries were entered into a drawing for a $20 gift card.  Winner:  Michael Patton, age 13
