They&#8217;re shaped like eggs, and they have beans inside, so&#8230;. yeah!  <\/p>\n<p>I did more books this time than usual.  Some themes suggest so many good books I just can&#8217;t pick only two!<\/p>\n<p>We sang &#8220;Clap Everybody and Say Hello&#8221; and then I did a puppet show telling the narration of the classic book <a href=\"http:\/\/pgpl-mt.iii.com\/iii\/encore_pasadena\/search\/C__Sbig%20hungry%20bear%20wood__Orightresult__U?lang=eng&amp;suite=pasadena\" target=\"_blank\">The Little Mouse, The Red, Ripe Strawberry and the Big, Hungry Bear<\/a> by Don and Audrey Wood.  I used a mouse\/rat puppet to be the mouse and the parents helped to be the sound of the big, hungry bear.  <\/p>\n<div class=\"jetpack-video-wrapper\"><span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"420\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/D-xe8AG2ICc?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-US&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/div>\n<p>We read <a href=\"http:\/\/pgpl-mt.iii.com\/iii\/encore_pasadena\/record\/C__Rb1515023__Seat%20up%20little%20donkey__Orightresult__X7?lang=eng&amp;suite=pasadena\" target=\"_blank\">Eat Up, Little Donkey<\/a> by Rindert Kromhout &amp; Annemarie van Haeringen, about a donkey who won&#8217;t eat his lunch. If the shaker eggs distracted kids here and there during storytime, it was worth it for the great music we made during that song!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pgpl-mt.iii.com\/iii\/encore_pasadena\/record\/C__Rb1602292__Sladybug%20apples%20bananas%20summer__Orightresult__U__X1?lang=eng&amp;suite=pasadena\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/a5.mzstatic.com\/eu\/r30\/Music\/v4\/ee\/74\/5c\/ee745cdb-88ef-505f-37c7-97ab34cf05f9\/cover170x170.jpeg\" width=\"170\" height=\"170\" class=\"aligncenter\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We read a THIRD book (like I said, I got greedy!) which I think was totally enjoyed by everyone: <a href=\"http:\/\/pgpl-mt.iii.com\/iii\/encore_pasadena\/record\/C__Rb1277883__Syummy%20yucky__Orightresult__U__X7?lang=eng&amp;suite=pasadena\" target=\"_blank\">Yummy Yucky<\/a> by Leslie Patricelli.  I see the library copy is currently missing which is a shame&#8211;it&#8217;s one of my favorites.  A real hoot!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pgpl-mt.iii.com\/iii\/encore_pasadena\/record\/C__Rb1277883__Syummy%20yucky__Orightresult__U__X7?lang=eng&amp;suite=pasadena\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com\/images\/I\/51D5GGJ0VRL._SX258_BO1,204,203,200_.jpg\" width=\"260\" height=\"266\" class=\"aligncenter\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We watched a short film from the DVD <a href=\"http:\/\/pgpl-mt.iii.com\/iii\/encore_pasadena\/record\/C__Rb1427478__Sbreakfast%20farzzles__Orightresult__U__X2?lang=eng&amp;suite=pasadena\" target=\"_blank\">Breakfast at Farzzle&#8217;s<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pgpl-mt.iii.com\/iii\/encore_pasadena\/record\/C__Rb1427478__Sbreakfast%20farzzles__Orightresult__U__X2?lang=eng&amp;suite=pasadena\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ecx.images-amazon.com\/images\/I\/51oQbtr7lPL._SY300_QL70_.jpg\" width=\"243\" height=\"300\" class=\"aligncenter\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Want to do some more food themed songs at home?  Try Little Miss Muffet and Little Jack Horner!
