Today’s storytime was full of games a riddles!<\/p>\n

Stories<\/span><\/h2>\n

First we hunted for treasure with Max, Ruby and their friends by following a series of lift-the-flap clues. Kids had to rack their brains for fill in the blank nursery rhymes.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Max & Ruby’s Treasure Hunt<\/a> by Rosemary Wells: \u00a0When their tea party is rained out, Max<\/span> and Ruby<\/span> and their friends Louise and Lily go indoors, where Grandma has arranged a treasure hunt<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Kids then put their wits to the test in Where’s the Baboon?<\/em> by answering the question on each page. The answer is in observing the the pictures.<\/p>\n

If you love cats, rats, rabbits, and baboons, then this book is for you! If you like reading or are just learning to read, this book is for you! Or if you don’t yet know how to read but like playing with letters and words, or even if you are no good at reading, you don’t even like the<\/span> alphabet, you were just passing by and happened to see this book, or maybe you are just curious to know what happens in a school where<\/span> all the<\/span> students are total animals…THIS BOOK IS FOR YOU!!!<\/p>\n

We approached Open Very Carefully<\/em> with caution because it really is a book with bite! \u00a0We followed Croc as he<\/p>\n

Flannel board<\/span><\/h2>\n

Kids chanted along with the animal as each one\u00a0tries to get Spider to play, but she’s too busy weaving her net to answer.<\/p>\n

“The Very Busy Spider” flannel story based on the picture book by Eric Carle<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u00a0The farm animals try to divert a busy<\/span> little spider<\/span> from spinning her web, but she persists and produces a thing of both beauty and usefulness.<\/p>\n
