Miss Marie was sick last week, so I (Jennifer) got to share in the fun at infant\/toddler storytime. \u00a0We had a tasty theme — Fruit! We started with Orange Pear Apple Bear<\/span> by Emily Gravett<\/a>. \u00a0This story uses only 5 words throughout the whole book, but manages to convey a fun story with just those and its wonderful illustrations.<\/p>\n

For our second book, we learned that things aren’t always as the appear! \u00a0We shared Guess What? – Fruit by Yusuke Yonezu<\/a>. \u00a0In this bright, lift the flap board book fruit magically transforms into different animals!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

We\u00a0celebrated delicious berries with the help of our friend mouse puppet, and the flannelboard rhyme:<\/p>\n

Even though I was doing the storytime, I tried to stick to Miss Marie’s songs to keep things consistent for those in the storytime session. \u00a0I did use a different version of Ladies Ride, though. \u00a0 So here are our \u00a0usual songs and bounces as well as a nursery rhyme and tickle.
