I’m a little behind in posting about my Summer Infant & Toddler storytimes. \u00a0This one was presented on August 11, and we had stories all about bedtime!<\/p>\n

Books We Shared<\/h2>\n

\"\"<\/a>\"\"\"\"\"\"\"Tuck<\/a>
\nIn infant storytime, we began things with a new book by Elizabeth McPike and Patrice Barton called Little Sleepyhead<\/a>. \u00a0This is a sweet rhyming book about all the busy parts of baby that get tired during the day. \u00a0The illustrations are nice and soft, but the best thing about them is the wonderful diversity they capture. \u00a0Infants love board books, and our next two stories were larger format board books: \u00a0The Going to Bed Book by Sandra Boynton<\/a>, and Wild! Bedtime by Courtney Dicmas.<\/p>\n

For toddlers, we started off sharing in the bedtime routine with a family of rabbits in Wendy Watson’s Bedtime Bunnies.<\/a>\u00a0 Our second story celebrated the more interactive elements of bedtime as we helped various animals get ready to sleep in\u00a0Tuck Me In!<\/a><\/span> by Dean Hacohen and Sherry Scharschmidt<\/a>.<\/p>\n

There were five in the bed,

\nSo they all rolled over
\nAnd one fell out.<\/p>\n

How many were in the bed now?
\nThat\u2019s right! \u00a0 4!
\nThere were four in the bed\u2026<\/p>\n

There was one in the bed
\nand the little one said<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m Lonely!\u201d
\nSo all the others climbed back into bed.
\n1, 2, 3, 4, 5
\nAnd everyone drifted off to sleep.
\nGoodnight!<\/p>\n

Nursery Rhyme we Shared in Infant Storytime<\/h2>\n

For our Nursery Rhyme flannelboard we helped Little Bo Peep find her errant sheep.<\/p>\n

Little Bo Peep

Little Bo Peep has lost her sheep
\nand doesn\u2019t know where to find them.
\nLeave them alone,
\nAnd they\u2019ll come home
