In Toddler Storytime, I switched up the books a bit between the 10am storytime and the 11am session. \u00a0For 10am, we began with a book about the best part of a present — the box! \u00a0Leslie Patricelli’s The Birthday Box<\/span><\/a> shares all that you can do with packaging of a present. \u00a0Then we read about a young rabbit’s special day in Happy Birthday, Bunny!<\/span> <\/a>written by Liz Garton Scanlon, illustrated by Stephanie Graegin. \u00a0For 11am storytime, we started with\u00a0Happy Birthday, Bunny!<\/span><\/a> \u00a0For our second book we learned what Cow (and Duck!) like best for a birthday treat in\u00a0A Birthday for Cow!<\/span> <\/a>by Jan Thomas.<\/p>\n Best part of a birthday celebration? \u00a0The cake, of course! \u00a0We had fun blowing out candles with our Flannelboard story, 5 Birthday Candles<\/p>\n 5 Birthday Candles<\/span> 4 birthday candles, 3 birthday candles, 2 birthday candles 1 birthday candle, For our Nursery Rhyme flannelboard we\u00a0recited Little Miss Muffet.<\/p>\n Little Miss Muffet<\/span> <\/p>\n Maisy celebrates her birthday with some of her closest friends.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Looking for more ways to celebrate birthdays that are healthier than cakes?\u00a0 Come to your local Pasadena Public Library branch and pick up one of these titles!
