I like this book because it has two morals: first, not to assume the worst of people just because they are different, and second, to be open-minded because what other people like, you may like too! Like Snarlyhissopus, this is a fun book to read out loud with a lot of rhymes and interesting wordplay!\n<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/catalog.pasadenapubliclibrary.net\/ipac20\/ipac.jsp?session=142XI5240683S.12551&amp;profile=pcent&amp;uri=link=3100007~!1326798~!3100001~!3100002&amp;aspect=browse_search_page&amp;menu=search&amp;ri=1&amp;source=~!horizon&amp;term=Toucan+can+%2F&amp;index=PALLTI#focus\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.syndetics.com\/index.aspx?type=xw12&amp;isbn=1877467537\/LC.GIF&amp;client=pasap&amp;upc=&amp;oclc=\" alt=\"Toucan Can\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\nWe danced and moved like the animals with the song &#8220;If I Was a Bird,&#8221; and then learned a movement song to the tune of &#8220;I&#8217;m a Little Teapot&#8221;:\n<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I\u2019m a little panda in a tree<br \/>\nI like to climb up high where I can see<br \/>\nEvery day I munch on thick bamboo<br \/>\nI eat it for lunch, and I hide in it, too!<br \/>\nPeek-a-Boo!\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\nOur last book was <a href=\"http:\/\/catalog.pasadenapubliclibrary.net\/ipac20\/ipac.jsp?session=14233B6879F62.12762&amp;profile=pcent&amp;uri=link=3100007~!1336079~!3100001~!3100002&amp;aspect=browse_search_page&amp;menu=search&amp;ri=1&amp;source=~!horizon&amp;term=Hooray+for+hat%21+%2F&amp;index=PALLTI#focus\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Hooray for Hat!<\/em><\/a> by Brian Wok.  This story about jungle animals learning that presents&#8211;and friendship&#8211;can banish the grumpiest day, includes a lot of fun illustrations and the refrain: &#8220;Hooray for Hat!&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.syndetics.com\/index.aspx?type=xw12&amp;isbn=0544159039\/LC.GIF&amp;client=pasap&amp;upc=&amp;oclc=\" alt=\"Hooray for Hat\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\nOur video was Verna Aardema&#8217;s <em>Why Mosquitoes Buzz in People&#8217;s Ears<\/em>, a selection on the DVD <a href=\"http:\/\/catalog.pasadenapubliclibrary.net\/ipac20\/ipac.jsp?session=14233B6879F62.12762&amp;profile=pcent&amp;uri=link=3100007~!988602~!3100001~!3100002&amp;aspect=browse_search_page&amp;menu=search&amp;ri=3&amp;source=~!horizon&amp;term=Curious+George+rides+a+bike+--+and+a+lot+more+monkeying+around+%2F&amp;index=PALLTI#focus\" target=\"_blank\">Curious George Rides a Bike &#8211;and a lot more monkeying around<\/a>.
