<\/a><\/p>\nWe started off using the\u00a0Free Animal Sounds by Hakim Boukhatem\u00a0<\/a>(iOS: Free) and played a guessing game.\u00a0 As the storyteller, I played a sound and hid it from the audience.\u00a0 Then they had to figure out what the animal was based on the should it made.\u00a0 This may sound easy, but when you’re listening to real animal noises, it much harder than you’d think!<\/p>\n Next we read A Present for Milo\u00a0 written and illustrated by Mike Austin\u00a0 from Ruckus Mobile Media<\/a>.\u00a0(iOS: $2.99).\u00a0 This is a delightful story of a fast paced game of cat-and-mouse chase around the house.\u00a0 But the ending is not quite what you would expect!<\/p>\n Sago Mini is one of my favorite app developers, and their Mini Pet Cafe\u00a0 (iOS: $2.99)<\/a> was so fun to share with everyone.\u00a0 We played the cat game (of course!) and matched colors and fed animals all as a group.<\/p>\n We did a few rhymes (see below) with the help of the app\u00a0Felt Board\u00a0by Software Smoothie<\/a>\u00a0(iOS: $2.99)<\/p>\n Finally, we finished things off with the calming app story\u00a0Bean’s Night\u00a0 words by Sarah Hines Stephens, pictures by Anna Grossnickle Hines. from appropos.<\/a> (iOS, Android, Nook $1.99)<\/p>\n Try these fun rhymes at home\u00a0with your child!<\/p>\n \u00a010 Little Kittens Let’s Pretend We’re Cats<\/span> We also shared the book Kitten’s First Full Moon by Kevin Henkes<\/span><\/a>. \u00a0This Caldecott award-winning book tells the story of a night when Kitten spots her first full moon — and thinks it is a bowl of milk. \u00a0Will Kitten ever get to taste some yummy milk?<\/p>\n Want some more fun apps to play with? \u00a0Check out our Pinterest pages:<\/p>\n
