This is your \u201crain\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>Fill a glass\u00a0jar about 3\/4 of the way full with cool water.<\/li>\n<li>Make a\u00a0fluffy \u201ccloud\u201d on top of the water using shaving cream.\n<ul>\n<li><em>Now you are ready to make rain!\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Use the pipette (or a spoon) to\u00a0suck up some of the colored water and then gently squirt it on top of the\u00a0shaving cream cloud.<\/li>\n<li>As more and more water is squirted on the\u00a0shaving cream, the\u00a0cloud becomes\u00a0heavier and heavier.<\/li>\n<li>Within a few minutes, the first drops of colored rain made their way through the cloud and dropped into the water underneath.<\/li>\n<li>You can\u00a0continue to saturate the shaving cream clouds with water until they started to deflate and melt down the side of the jar.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h1><u><b>THE SCIENCE BEHIND IT<\/b><\/u><\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<blockquote><p>Clouds are formed when water vapor rises into the air and condenses onto tiny particles of dust. When billions of these droplets come together, a visible cloud forms<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<blockquote><p>Over time, the droplets and crystals that make up a cloud can attract more water to themselves.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<blockquote><p>When water droplets grow heavy enough, gravity pulls them down as raindrops.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<blockquote><p><i>Making a rain cloud in a jar is obviously a simplistic model of how it actually rains, but it gives young children a hands-on visual that is extremely valuable to their learning. Plus, it\u2019s fun!<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Credit: <\/b><a
