Today we spent storytime with our friends of the porcine persuasion — pigs!\u00a0 This was a really fun storytime to do, since so many of the books offer instances for interaction.<\/p>\n

Books We Shared<\/span><\/h2>\n

\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

For infant storytime, we started things off with a wonderful book by Audrey Wood and Don Wood: Piggies.<\/span>\u00a0 This is great fun to read with your little one, because the in addition to being a story, it’s also a fingerplay perfect for bedtime or anytime.\u00a0 Next, we read about pig Pepo and chick Lolo in Pepo and Lolo are Friends.<\/span>\u00a0 Even though Pepo and Lolo are different, and may fight, they will always be friends.<\/p>\n

For toddler storytime, our first book showed that random acts of kindness on a farm really do come back around to you in How Kind!<\/span> by Mary Murphy.\u00a0 We followed that up with a little silliness about Piggy Pie Po<\/span> from Audrey & Don Wood.<\/p>\n

This nursery rhyme is a fun one to do as a bounce with your baby.\u00a0 Hold your child on your lap, then when the pig flies into the air, lift your child up.\u00a0 When the rhyme says, “brought him down” lower baby back to your lap.<\/p>\n
