We read books about bunnies and other creatures that hop during our second storytime of the spring session.\u00a0 There was also a finger puppet play with two little bunnies, some magic rabbits and a whole host of songs & rhymes.\u00a0 There was even a little movie about a hopping frog…well bunnies & frogs hop don’t they?\u00a0 Hope everyone enjoyed our bunny hopping time together.<\/p>\n

What’s the Matter Bunny Blue?<\/a>\u00a0by Nicola Smee is a sweet tale about a blue bunny who’s feeling “blue” because he can’t find his granny.\u00a0 All of the animals he encounters try to help him find her but they sure ask a lot of questions!\u00a0\u00a0In the meantime, Bunny Blue is crying his eyes out – “…Boo Hoo Hoo.”\u00a0 Is there a happy ending you ask?\u00a0 But of course!\u00a0 Nicola Smee writes some great picture books for the toddler crowd – they are visually simple, yet appealing and the story lines\u00a0are easy for a little one to follow.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mama Look<\/a>\u00a0by Patricia J. Murphy and David Diaz is an exploration into the various creatures we find in nature.\u00a0 I don\u2019t think there are many children who haven\u2019t asked:\u00a0 \u201cMama Look!\u201d or \u201cPapa Look!\u201d\u00a0 Just talking with your baby about the world around you creates\u00a0so many opportunities for bonding and supporting\u00a0language development.\u00a0\u00a0Each page of this book leads to a new animal or insect..grasshoppers, ants, butterflies, frogs, puppies, squirrels, and more!\u00a0 At the very end though it\u2019s the baby bee who notices the human baby on Mama\u2019s back!\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n
