Congratulations Carlos Perez!

“Carlos’ quiet personality and awareness of his surroundings at La Pintoresca and his use of good judgement makes the staff feel safe and secure. Carlos is also very accommodating and helpful with the staff and patrons. He has a good understanding of our patrons and goes the extra mile to help them with the copy machine and/or computer questions if staff is busy with other patrons. He always helps with setting up furniture for our Storytime and any of our other programs. For example, on Día Del Nino program Carlos set up all our props and was very helpful when it came time to clean up. We are lucky to have him as part of our team.” -Sylvia Arnold

Congratulations Sylvia Arnold!

“Sylvia is a top notch page who does more than just shelf books.  Sylvia makes the effort to clear the shelves of books that are damaged, out of date or titles with multiple copies.  For a small branch this kind of attention to detail is extremely helpful.  Besides keeping our shelves looking great, Sylvia has taken the initiative to organize the collection in a way that makes it easier for patrons to locate material, and to create a special career section.  Sylvia has also shown a talent for creating eye-catching  adult book displays, and patrons have responded to the variety of choices and unique material that she has included in the displays.  Finally, Sylvia is a super team player, always jumping in to help out with programs and crafts, always arrives to work with a positive attitude that makes her a pleasure to work with.” -Lupita Barajas
