2016 Charitable Giving Campaign Kickoff at City Hall, June 8!

This year’s charity drive is sponsored by the Employee Advisory Board. EAB invites all city employees to attend its Charitable Giving Campaign Kickoff event at City Hall Wednesday, June 8, from 2:30–4:00 p.m.

Why you should go!

  • There will be great speakers who will talk about the various charitable organizations and how your donations will help them.
  • Opportunity to meet and talk with other city employees.
  • Raffle drawings and a chance to win awesome prizes!
  • Show your support (just by being there)!

Staff Day 2016 is coming up quickly so get ready to create and innovate all day long! We’ll be learning from keynote speaker Don Levy as well as PPL colleagues and being creative with Makey Makey, Legos, movie making, and spaghetti towers.

Both breakfast and lunch are provided and don’t forget to RSVP to Melissa Perez (meperez@cityofpasadena.net) by Friday, May 6 so we can have an accurate attendance count.

PLA Denver

Whew! We are almost finished with One City, One Story. As usual, a great event with lots of positive comments.

I’ll be gone to PLA the first part of April, along with other colleagues. It’s in Denver, but not to worry, the snow forecast has been removed!

Doing budget presentations right now; looks like another status quo year. The bad news: it’s status quo. The good news: no cuts.

Staff Day

Things are really starting to come together for Staff Day! I hope to have definite plans to you in the next couple of weeks. In the meantime, know that if you attended a conference or other learning opportunity, we will once again schedule “shared moments” so you will have a chance to share what you learned. Lots of “team activities” are planned and I think you will have a really good time with those, too. Of course, there’s breakfast and lunch with other special surprises. Mark May 12 on your calendar and come on down!!
