Create your book cover graphic.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Book cover images plus a matching color (for the back of the mini book)<\/li>\n<li>Cover portion measures approximately 1&#8243; x 5\/8&#8243; inch<\/li>\n<li>Entire template measures approx. 1 x 1.5 inch<\/li>\n<li>Print out your graphic in color<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>2. \u00a0Cut out each cover.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-722\" alt=\"divergent book charm\" src=\"http:\/\/pasadena-library.net\/teens\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/18\/files\/sites\/18\/2014\/05\/divergent-book-charm.jpg\" width=\"202\" height=\"129\" \/><\/p>\n<p>3. \u00a0Laminate the covers.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>4. \u00a0Cut out the laminated covers close to the edge. \u00a0You may also want to dull the corners (round the corners).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>5. \u00a0[optional] Add an eyelet (using a Crop-A-Dile).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pasadena-library.net\/teens\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/18\/files\/sites\/18\/2014\/05\/HT-book-charm-cropdile.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-726\" alt=\"HT book charm cropdile\" src=\"http:\/\/pasadena-library.net\/teens\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/18\/files\/sites\/18\/2014\/05\/HT-book-charm-cropdile.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"308\" srcset=\"http:\/\/pasadena-library.net\/teens\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/18\/files\/sites\/18\/2014\/05\/HT-book-charm-cropdile.jpg 300w, http:\/\/pasadena-library.net\/teens\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/18\/files\/sites\/18\/2014\/05\/HT-book-charm-cropdile-292x300.jpg 292w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>6. \u00a0Fold the book spine.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s easiest to fold the front cover first, then the spine, and finally the back cover. \u00a0When creating your templates, add a bit more color to the back cover portion; you can always trim off the extra later.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>7. \u00a0Cut paper into 1&#8243; strips.<\/p>\n<p>Any kind of paper will work. \u00a0I use resume paper scraps or plain printing paper.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pasadena-library.net\/teens\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/18\/files\/sites\/18\/2014\/05\/HT-book-charm-folding-paper.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-727\" alt=\"HT book charm folding paper\" src=\"http:\/\/pasadena-library.net\/teens\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/18\/files\/sites\/18\/2014\/05\/HT-book-charm-folding-paper.jpg\" width=\"284\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>8. \u00a0Fold the paper strips accordion style into 1&#8243; x 0.5&#8243; folds.<\/p>\n<p>Make sure you gather enough to fill the mini book.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>9. \u00a0Press one side of the paper together and spread bookbinding glue on the edge.<\/p>\n<p>You can find this glue at an art store (like Blick). \u00a0Any brand is fine;
