{"id":3279,"date":"2016-11-02T09:00:09","date_gmt":"2016-11-02T16:00:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pasadena-library.net\/teens\/?p=3279"},"modified":"2016-11-09T17:19:41","modified_gmt":"2016-11-10T01:19:41","slug":"the-testing-teen-review","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/pasadena-library.net\/teens\/2016\/the-testing-teen-review\/","title":{"rendered":"The Testing &#8212; teen review"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Review by Jacob Chon, grade 9<\/p>\n<h2><em>The Testing<\/em> by Joelle Charbonneau<\/h2>\n<p>Summary: In a world after chemical bombing and total warfare has decimated the globe, Malencia Vale, daughter of an agricultural scientist, is chosen for the Testing, a government program that is made to find the next leaders of the world. \u00a0Her family is ecstatic, but her father tells her to not trust anyone. \u00a0Malencia immediately makes new friends and enemies at the Testing Center, but something is off. \u00a0Those who fail tests are never seen again. \u00a0Then one of their tests involves dropping them in the middle of a wasteland.
