In this book, the final four selected girls face outside threats from rebel forces, while still competing for Prince Maxon’s affection. Unlike the first two books, this book had more the do with the struggling government of Illéa and the caste system in place than with the competition itself, which was a huge plus in my opinion. That, mixed with a touch of romance made this book my favorite one in the series. It was thrilling, devastating, and sweet, all rolled in to one amazing story. This is one of the rare books I have been unable to find any criticisms for. Although I am satisfied with the ending to this book and wasn’t planning on reading the last two books in the series, I can’t get enough of this story and I know I won’t be able to help reading them when they are released.
