“I’ll Pass for Your Comrade” is a true story of the many brave women who fought in the Civil War. One woman, Sarah Emma Edmonds, was particularly brave and her perseverance is to be admired. She joined the Union under the name of Private Franklin Thompson in 1861. She not only fought disguised as a soldier, but she also was known as a skilled medical nurse. She even became a spy, and did so well on her first mission, that General McClellan sent her on ten different missions afterwards. A few years later, she contracted a terrible case of malaria, but suffered through it on her own, without seeing a doctor for fear that her true identity might be revealed. Finally, she realized that she had to get away for a few weeks to recover on her own. She said, quote, “I would rather have been shot dead, than to have been known to be a woman and sent away from the army.” \u00a0This is only one woman’s story who had the courage and faith for their country; faith strong enough to be willing to give their lives for the cause. –Jessica S. As this is the last book of the Kane Chronicles series, it is an excellent conclusion. It was very addicting and I could not put down the book until I was done reading it. Squish’s addiction gets out of control, where he plays this game whenever he had free time. Since he played this game too much, he didn’t do an assignment that was due.
