If you haven’t had a chance to stop by PPL to make your very own No Sew Blanket, you have one more chance to make one at the Santa Catalina Branch Library on Tuesday, August 4 @ 3:30PM! These blankets are super easy to make and they will keep you warm in the Winter. If you aren’t able to make it to a workshop, no sweat! Here are some great websites that will teach you how to make your blanket:

  1. How to Make a Fleece Tie Blanket from Wiki How (http://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Fleece-Tie-Blanket)
  2. PDF from Project Linus (https://www.projectlinus.org/patterns/pdf/NoSewFB.pdf)
  3. How-To from Snapguide.com (https://snapguide.com/guides/make-a-no-sew-fleece-blanket-wout-bulky-knots/)

Here is a list of supplies you will need:

  • Fabric scissors
  • Washable markers
  • Ruler
  • 3-4 yards of fleece fabric ( you will need to panels of solid and printed fabric)
  • Music and friends to make the process more fun!

When you complete your project, be sure to wash it (separately) and hang dry on a flat surface. When completely dry, roll it up and wrap it up for someone special or lay it out on your bed. If you have a million blankets already, but would like to donate your blanket to those in need, here are some local organizations that would greatly appreciate your blanket. I highly recommend that you call these organizations  first to verify if they will take your donation. Here is a list of great nonprofit organizations in Pasadena:

Have fun and don’t forget to post a picture of your project to our Facebook or Instagram accounts!
