After a brief break, we are back with our Fall session of Toddler Storytimes! \u00a0To kick things off with a fall-feeling, our first storytime of the session was all about that favorite fall fruit — apples!<\/p>\n

\nThere is magic in a tree as it moves from season to season. \u00a0In Tap the Magic Tree by Christie Matheson<\/a>, children are encouraged to interact with the book and make this “magic” happen — growing leaves, springing flowers, and of course, fruiting apples!<\/p>\n

\nThe second book we shared was\u00a0Pepo and Lolo and the Red Apple\u00a0by Ana Martin Larra\u00f1aga. \u00a0Pepo the pig and Lolo the chick want a beautiful red apple from the tree. \u00a0But it is too high, and they cannot reach it! \u00a0Will these two friends figure out a way to get the yummy apple? \u00a0Of course they will \u2014 using teamwork! \u00a0Unfortunately, we no longer have a copy of this for check out in the library, but you can check out\u00a0the other book in the Pepo and Lolo series<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n3 little apples smiled at me (hold up number of fingers, and smile)<\/i>
\nI shook that tree just as hard as I could\u00a0(use both hands to pretend to shake the trunk of a tree)<\/em>
\nAnd down came an apple!\u00a0(take an apple off the flannelboard)
\n<\/em>CRUNCH!\u00a0(pretend to eat the apple)<\/em>
\nMmmmm… was it good!\u00a0(rub belly)<\/em><\/p>\n

How many apples are left? \u00a02!<\/p>\n
