Books We Shared<\/h4>\n

Our first book, Pigs and a Blanket<\/a> by James Burks, tells a story of two little pig siblings who both love their blanket… but they love each other even more. <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Our second book,\u00a0Piggies<\/a> by Don and Audrey Wood, pictures of pigs dancing and being silly as a metaphor for all the things our fingers can do.<\/p>\n Five Pigs So Squeaky Clean<\/span> <\/p>\n <\/p>\n (Credit: storytimekatie<\/a>)<\/p>\n Five pigs so squeaky clean (Take a pig and flip it over to show it getting dirty. The piggies are clean. <\/p>\n To emphasize writing skills I have the toddlers practice drawing the letter of the day in the air. Our letter of the day was “P.” We talked about things that start with P.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Know what else starts with P? Puddles! We showed “Muddy Puddles” from the show Peppa Pig. I like this show because of how calm and sweet her parents are. They always have a great sense of humor.<\/p>\n We sing a lot of songs during storytime! \u00a0You\u2019ll find lyrics to those songs without music here.<\/p>\n \nOpen Shut Them<\/span><\/p>\n Open, shut them (open and close fingers)<\/em> To Market, To Market One Bright Scarf<\/span> (Alternate ending:)<\/p>\n Hey! I wore a hat to play the Big Bad Wolf.
