For our Easter Weekend Preschool Storytime, we read books about eggs!<\/p>\n

Books We Shared<\/h4>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

Our first story,\u00a0A Friend for Bo<\/a> by Elisabeth Zuniga, tells about a cute bunny rabbit who tries to make friends with an egg, but finds his new friend isn’t much good at talking, playing or anything else! But to his surprise, Bo’s efforts do bring his friend out of his shell.<\/p>\n

Our second book, Eggs 1 2 3: Who will the babies be?<\/a> by Janet Halfmann and illustrated by Betsy Thompson, was a guessing game about the many different kinds of animals that hatch from different eggs.<\/p>\n

Our third book, The Easter Bunny’s Assistant<\/a> by Jan Thomas, was a hilarious demonstration of Easter Egg dying by the Easter bunny and his overexcited and smelly friend Skunk.<\/p>\n

Our film story,\u00a0based on the book The Most Wonderful Egg in the World<\/a> by Helme Heine, followed a group of chickens as they each tried to lay the most wonderful egg so that they could be named princesses.<\/p>\n

I gave everyone a rhyme with a picture of a nest, and I cut slits in the picture for people to put their fingers. Then I encouraged the kids to say the rhyme with me and use their fingers to be the baby birds poking through their eggs.<\/p>\n
