Books about the body are such fun to read with infants and toddlers! \u00a0So many of the books are splendidly interactive!<\/p>\n

Books We Shared<\/h2>\n

\"Toes<\/a>\"Look<\/a>\"We've<\/a>\"Nose<\/a><\/strong>
\nFor infant storytime, we started with a lift-the-flap story that uncovers ears, eyes, elbows and more:\u00a0Toes, Ears & Nose<\/a><\/span> by Marion Dane Bauer, illustrated by Karen Katz.<\/a>\u00a0 Caregivers had a fun pointing out all the parts mentioned to their little ones. \u00a0We also shared\u00a0Look at the Baby<\/span><\/a> by Kelly Johnson<\/a>, a photographically diverse wonderful book that gives a close up look at many different children.<\/p>\n

In toddler storytime, African animals helped up celebrate that\u00a0We’ve All Got Bellybuttons!<\/span>. \u00a0This great story by David Martin, illustrated by Randy Cecil <\/a>encourages listeners to stretch, kick and move in fun ways with all of their different parts. \u00a0And of course, since bellybuttons are involved there’s gotta be some tickling! \u00a0Our second book cries out to be sung:\u00a0Nose to Toes, You are Yummy!<\/span> by Tim Harrington<\/a>. \u00a0So, I sang and everyone did the movements! \u00a0If you want to share the song at home, you can find it here<\/a>.<\/p>\n
