the toddlers&#8217;\u00a0attention with a classic book,<em><strong> Dear Zoo<\/strong> <\/em>by Rod Campbell.\u00a0 This book is about a child who writes to the Zoo asking for the perfect pet; there was quite a bit of trial &amp; error before the Zookeeper sent him a suitable match!\u00a0 The\u00a0toddlers loved it and I think the parents did too!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/pasadena-library.net\/kids\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/10\/files\/sites\/10\/2015\/06\/creature-features.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-3868\" src=\"http:\/\/pasadena-library.net\/kids\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/10\/files\/sites\/10\/2015\/06\/creature-features.jpg\" alt=\"creature features\" width=\"260\" height=\"260\" couldn\u2019t resist sharing some creatures from this marvelously\u00a0illustrated book.\u00a0 It is nonfiction\u00a0but the visuals are bright, clearly delineated and stunning, \u00a0so I thought the\u00a0toddlers would be attracted to the pictures.\u00a0Packed with many cool\u00a0facts and visuals on where certain animals live and what they eat, this book captures\u00a0twenty-five\u00a0humorous\u2014and very true\u2014explanations of why animals look the way they do in order to exist in this world.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em><strong>OUR<\/strong> <strong>FLANNEL STORIES:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em><strong>Teasing Mr. Crocodile<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: <strong>Polar Bear, Polar Bear What Do You Hear<\/strong>?\u00a0\u00a0 <\/em>I had a hard time figuring out the sound to make for a hippo but one of the parents chimed in with a PAWWWWT.\u00a0 That worked!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\n<a
