The theme for\u00a0Toddler Storytime on May 5th was DINOSAURS!<\/p>\n

Our library T-Rex, Mr. T,<\/strong> joined us as well – he looks scary but his ROAR is worse than his BITE!<\/p>\n

OUR BOOKS:<\/strong>
\n\"Dinosaur<\/a>Shari Halpern’s Dinosaur Parade<\/strong><\/em> delighted the toddlers.\u00a0 It begins with a young boy sitting on the floor, surveying his dinosaur toy collection which he turns into a DINOSAUR PARADE!\u00a0 True-to-life\u00a0, stunning illustrations along with dinosaur identification and a rhyming pattern make this\u00a0book great for reading aloud and for sharing one-on-one.\u00a0\u00a0If your toddler loves dinosaurs she\/he will squeal with delight (many of the toddlers in storytime\u00a0did).\u00a0 Even if dinosaurs aren’t a favorite, the\u00a0writing and the visuals will draw your child in.\u00a0\u00a0I will definitely keep this book in mind for future dinosaur-themed storytimes!<\/p>\n

\"Dino<\/a>Dino Bites<\/em><\/strong> by Algy Craig Hall was also a\u00a0“fan”\u00a0favorite.\u00a0 Oh my\u2026each dino-bite gets a bit smaller as we move from an\u00a0enormous dinosaur predator to a snack-size\u00a0predator.\u00a0 Seems like this book might not have a happy ending but some tummy rumbling after a BIG meal causes\u00a0a dinosaur BURRRRRP\u00a0and let\u2019s just say \u201clunch\u201d\u2026\u201dsnack\u201d\u2026and \u201cbite\u201d come flying out!\u00a0 Algy Craig Hall has created a masterful picture book for infants and toddlers alike\u2026the stunning visuals, the suspense and the funny ending makes this a great read aloud.\u00a0 I\u2019ve never had such a rapt audience of wee ones.

Five huge dinosaurs,\u00a0 looking fierce and mean<\/p>\n

The first one said, “I eat things that are green!”<\/p>\n

The second one said, “I hatched from an egg.”<\/p>\n

The third one said, “I have big, strong legs.”<\/p>\n

The fourth one said, “I can fly through the air.”<\/p>\n

The fifth one said, “I give everyone a scare!”<\/p>\n

THUMP, THUMP, THUMP came Tyrannosaurus Rex that day,<\/p>\n

And the five fierce dinosaurs ran away!<\/p>\n

Well our dinosaur was hiding behind the grey door, but boy we found some interesting creatures behind the other doors!<\/p>\n
