Along with reading Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See? by Bill Martin, Jr.,\u00a0we enjoyed a colorful pop-up book titled Colors pop-up Peekaboo!\u00a0 This book appeals to infants and toddlers, primarily for color identification and three-dimensional appeal.\u00a0\u00a0Each page focused on a different color with a special friend hiding behind a peekaboo flap.\u00a0 The elements of guessing and the colorful visuals\u00a0made this the perfect book to establish today\u2019s theme!<\/p>\n

\nFor reinforcement,\u00a0we repeated Brown Bear, Brown Bear…in a flannel story.\u00a0 The babies were drawn to the colors and shapes as I placed each animal in the story\u00a0on the flannel board.\u00a0\u00a0 I like using repetition and rhyme to create patterns that are easily recognizable and enhance visual and verbal\u00a0development.<\/p>\n
