We read stories about eating and growing fruits and vegetables!\u00a0 Here are some of the books and activities we shared:<\/p>\n

Little Apple\u00a0Goat\u00a0has an appetite for apples, pears & cherries, not the usual fare for a goat!\u00a0 She relishes trotting through the orchard, waiting for the beautiful ripe fruits to fall on the ground where she can scoop them up and eat them.\u00a0One day a horrible storm knocks all of the\u00a0beautiful trees in the orchard to the ground.\u00a0 The animals on the farm are sad, especially Little Apple Goat who wonders what she will do without the fruit that falls from the trees.\u00a0 This picture book takes children on a journey through the seasons.\u00a0 Ultimately,\u00a0they discover that Little Apple Goat has\u00a0contributed to the growth of a new orchard.<\/p>\n

Ned the worm LOVES living in the beautiful red apple he calls home UNTIL…it rots!!!\u00a0 So he goes on a quest to find a new fruit to call home.\u00a0 An engaging, colorful story that has a comforting circular theme.<\/p>\n

Bold illustrations make this a winner for preschoolers.\u00a0 Daddy and child plant a vegetable garden…they dig, plant, water, weed and finally harvest their vegetables, all to\u00a0make delicious vegetable soup!\u00a0 A simple\u00a0soup recipe is included at the end of the story.\u00a0 A big hit with the storytime crowd!<\/p>\n
