It’s raining! \u00a0It’s pouring! \u00a0Today we were exploring… stories about rain.<\/p>\n

Books We Shared<\/h2>\n

\"RainyDayPuddlebyNakabayashi\"\u00a0\"\"<\/a>\u00a0\"\"<\/a>\u00a0\"\"<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>
\nToday we celebrated the rain with some wonderful stories! \u00a0In Infant storytime with started with a small frog in a small\u00a0Rainy Day Puddle<\/span>\u00a0that got bigger and bigger as the rain came down and each of his animal friends joined him. \u00a0Then we shared the story of a cat worried that\u00a0Here Comes the Rain<\/span> because he HATES the rain. \u00a0But will he still feel that way when the storm hits?<\/p>\n

With toddlers we helped the elephant figure out what\u00a0The Thingamabob<\/span>\u00a0he found was. \u00a0Can you guess what it may be just by looking at the cover? \u00a0We also explored all the ways to have lots of\u00a0Bunny Fun<\/span> indoors when it is raining outside.<\/p>\n

Flannelboard Story<\/h2>\n

We learned about different colors in our infant storytime with umbrellas!<\/p>\n

Five umbrellas stood by the back door.
\nThe red one went outside, and then there were four.<\/p>\n

Four umbrellas pretty as can be
\nThe blue one went outside, and then there were three.<\/p>\n

Three umbrellas with nothing to do
\nThe green one went outside, and then there were two.<\/p>\n

Two umbrellas not having much fun
\nThe yellow one went outside, and then there was one.<\/p>\n

One umbrella sad and all alone.
\nDecided to go join his friends and that left none.<\/p>\n

For our toddler storytime we practiced counting raindrops!<\/p>\n

Five Little Raindrops<\/span>
\nFive little raindrops
\n(hold up five fingers)
\n<\/em>Dancing on the walk
\n(move hand from side to side)
\n<\/em>Pitter patter, pitter patter, that\u2019s the way they talk.
\n(pat hands on legs to make a pitter patter noise)
\n<\/em>Out comes the yellow sun, shining in the sky
\n(raise arms up like the sun, if using a flannel sun piece, hold this up)
\n<\/em>And away goes one raindrop
\n(take away a raindrop, I kind of hid it behind the sun felt piece)
\n<\/em>Bye, bye, bye!
\n(wave goodbye)<\/em><\/p>\n
