Anyone who&#8217;s lived on an island will probably have some sense of what that&#8217;s like. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/pasadena.iii.com\/iii\/encore\/record\/C__Rb1515968\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/imagesb.btol.com\/ContentCafe\/Jacket.aspx?UserID=ContentCafeClient&amp;Password=Client&amp;Return=T&amp;Type=L&amp;Value=9781423163305\" width=\"400\" height=\"308\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/pasadena.iii.com\/iii\/encore\/record\/C__Rb1515968\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Big Rig<\/a> by Jamie A. Before I said the words in bold, I showed the sign language and waited to see if the audience would guess it first.<br \/>\n(spoken)<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m going to the grocery store.<br \/>\nI&#8217;m gonna hop on my&#8230; <strong>BIKE!<\/strong> (move hands like pedaling a bicycle)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>But now I need to go somewhere a little bit farther.<br \/>\nI know! I&#8217;ll take my&#8230; <strong>MOTORCYLE!<\/strong> (move hands like revving up the motor with the handlebars)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Now I have to go far out of town.<br \/>\nI&#8217;m gonna have to take the&#8230; <strong>CAR!<\/strong> (move hands like operating a steering wheel)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Next week, I have to go out of state to visit my grandma.<br \/>\nI&#8217;ll take a&#8230; <strong>TRAIN!<\/strong> (with two fingers on each hand, cross them like an X)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>And next month, when I go visit my aunt who lives in another country,<br \/>\nI&#8217;m gonna take a&#8230; <strong>PLANE!<\/strong> (lower your middle and ring finger and soar your hand through the sky)<\/p>\n<p>(I made this up but was inspired by an idea I read in <a href=\"http:\/\/pgpl-mt.iii.com\/iii\/encore_pasadena\/record\/C__Rb1543510__SBaby%20Storytime%20Magic__Orightresult__X7?lang=eng&amp;suite=pasadena\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Baby Storytime Magic<\/a> by Kathy MacMillan and Christine Kirker)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Green Says Go<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>(I used scarves for this activity, holding them up in the air)<\/p>\n<p>Green says, \u201cGo!\u201d (march quickly)<br \/>\nGo!
