Watch out – SHARK!!!!!\u00a0\u00a0A few Saturdays ago we read books about sharks.\u00a0 We were very careful not to annoy any of them in case they decided we looked edible!\u00a0 Here are the books, songs, flannel boards,\u00a0action rhymes and video we shared.<\/p>\n

I’m a Shark<\/em><\/strong> by Bob Shea introduces us to a very confident Shark!\u00a0 He isn’t afraid of anything, not the dark, not even big, mean bears!\u00a0 Well maybe there is just one thing\u00a0this tough shark fears –\u00a0spiders!\u00a0 A really funny picture book that turns a stereotype on its head!<\/p>\n

In The Three Little Fish and the Big Bad Shark<\/em><\/strong>, Ken Geist and Julia Gorton take a traditional fairytale (The Three Little Pigs and the Big Bad Wolf<\/em>) and give it a\u00a0 twist!\u00a0 The three little fish are all grown up and their mother sends them out to\u00a0“sea”\u00a0to make their way.\u00a0 Unfortunately, there is also a big, bad shark out there who tries to thwart their plans!\u00a0 You can probably figure out the rest.\u00a0 Let’s put it this way – he ends up a vegetarian at the end of the story.\u00a0 A great\u00a0read aloud and a fractured<\/em> fairytale that you can compare to the original.<\/p>\n
