WE read some great stories about love and hugs\u00a0during today\u2019s Preschool Storytime!\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Here are the books, songs, flannel board,\u00a0action rhymes and video we shared.<\/p>\n

Books We Read<\/h1>\n

All three of our stories had to do with love and hugs.<\/p>\n

In Oh Daddy!<\/strong><\/em> <\/a>by Bob Shea, a little boy is convinced his daddy cannot survive without him.\u00a0 Every day his daddy asks him how to do something.\u00a0 His daddy asks him how to get dressed, how to get into the car (without getting stuck in the window)…the questions go on and on until the final question – what is the best way to give a great big HUG??\u00a0 The story closes with dad and son hugging.<\/p>\n

Love Is My Favourite Thing<\/a> <\/em><\/strong>by Emma Chichester Clark touches on the theme of unconditional love.\u00a0 The dog in the story loves his family and\u00a0friends.\u00a0 Emily and Rupert are his family and they love him unconditionally, even when he does some things he really isn’t supposed to do.\u00a0\u00a0There might be a time out or two, but\u00a0this dog knows that no matter what he does, he\u00a0is still loved!\u00a0 (That is why LOVE is his favorite thing).<\/p>\n

In Scott Campbell’s Hug Machine<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, we’re introduced to a little boy who is, well,\u00a0a HUG MACHINE!\u00a0 He hugs just about everyone and everything he comes across (even mailboxes and spiky porcupines).\u00a0 There is no limit to this little guy’s desire to spread love, no matter the obstacle.\u00a0 A cute story about the healing power of a hug and a boy’s determination to be a superhero of the heart.<\/p>\n
