yrl_contest_imgWe’re pleased to announce the Young Readers League 2016 Writing Contest winners!

This year, young writers were challenged to tell us something about a new character joining a magical circus, their special ability or how this character come to join the circus.

The winning entries were honored during the Young Readers League Circus Extravaganza with Cassie Beasley, author of Circus Mirandus, our 2016 selection.

We will feature the contest winners in upcoming issues of Off the Shelf, the library’s monthly newsletter, and teen participants will also be feature in the Summer 2016 issue of the Teen Zine. The stories are also published here on our blog for your reading enjoyment. They will also be published on Vroman’s Bookstore blog.
