Preschool storytime should always be fun! Last week, it was even though all the stories we read were about things you should never do.
Books We Shared
First we read When Your Elephant Comes to Play by Ale Barba. Having an elephant over sounds fun doesn’t it? But there are some things you should not do when your elephant visits. If you just follow this advice, you’re sure to have a grand time with your pachyderm pal.
Next, we found out that mimicking isn’t always nice with Jonathan Allen’s book Don’t Copy Me! Poor Puffin just wants to go on a walk, but when Small Gull, Tiny Gull and Baby Gull start repeating everything he does, he’ll have to find a way to escape them. Will he succeed?

This is a goofy look at all the reasons that animals should not wear clothing.
Music We Listened To
During this storytime, we could not sit still, so we got up, and danced around to “Can’t Sit Still” by The Brain Waite Band.
Film We Watched
“Don’t Let the Pigeon Stay Up Late!” from Don’t Let the Pigeon Stay Up Late!… and More Stories by Mo Willems. Based on the book by Mo Willems.
Pigeon REALLY wants to stay up past his bedtime. Can you help make sure he doesn’t?
