Who can pick a favorite color when there are so many! Good thing we didn’t have to in today’s storytime – we read about all the colors.
Books We Shared
We started our infant storytime with a book about the color that things are not: Lemons are Not Red by Laura Vaccaro Seeger. It was fun to figure out what color things should be, and with a page turn find out if we were correct. Later with the infants, we took a trip with a little white duck to get home – and we ended up being surprised by a beautiful rainbow in Duckie’s Rainbow by Frances Berry.
Because it’s a favorite of mine, we also read Lemons are Not Red in Toddler storytime as well. And we, along with Bear and his friends, got to see the beauty of nature all around in Bear Sees Colors by Karma Wilson and Jane Chapman.

One Little Red Fish

One little red fish, (hold up one finger)
Swimming in the water (put palms together and move them like a fish swimming)
