Did we have fun in storytime today?  NO!

We didn’t just have fun, we had SO MUCH FUN in today’s No- themed storytime.

Books We Shared

Otto learns a new word in No! by Tracey Corderoy, illustrated by Tim Warnes.  But he also learns that he may not get what he really wants if he uses it all the time.  In Where’s Spot? by Eric Hill we tried to find where that silly dog could be hiding at dinnertime!  And we helped Little Owl find his Mama with Squirrel’s help (after a few missteps) in Little Owl Lost by Chris Haughton.

Flannelboard Story

Will no one help the poor Little Red Hen around the house?  We shared this flannelboard story taken from The Flannel Board Storytelling Book by Judy Sierra.  If you would like to read a book version of this story, try The Red Hen written by Rebecca Emberley and Ed Emberley or the classic version adapted and illustrated by Paul Galdone.

Music and Movement

We danced along with “Nobody but Me” by The Human Beinz, a song full of our word-of-the-day No!

Movie We Watched

Pigeon really really wants to drive the bus.  But we can’t let him!  We shouted along with “Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!” available on the DVD Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! … and more stories by Mo Willems
