Over a hundred attendees gathered at the Central Library on July 9, 2014 for a Geronimo Stilton Paws Party, featuring cheese tasting, clue hunting, code breaking, and mouse crafts! The attendees were mostly kids ages 7-12. Additionally, a dozen teen volunteers donated their time and talent to make this happen!
Upon arrival, each child participant received a bag that included a copy of Rodent’s Gazette, magnifying glass, a Geronimo Stilton bookmark, and a pencil. Each bag was also pre-numbered for a raffle drawing at the end of the program.
The entire group started out in our Story Room to receive instructions. All kids were expected to have an older sibling or parent to help them along. Then they were off to various stations around the library collect their clues. The goal of the hunt was to (1) collect all three clues, (2) solve the mystery, and (3) complete their own Rodent’s Gazette.

Finally, the group gathered at the Story Room for a short Geronimo Stilton film–which did not work very well because of technical difficulties, but no one seemed too upset about it. I used this time to prepare the raffle.
We raffled out two Geronimo Stilton posters and solved the mystery!
