Flannelboard
“The Great Big Carrot”
from The Flannel Board Storytelling Book
This flannelboard story is based on a Russian Folktale. Once, a rabbit saw a great big carrot top and wanted to pull it out, but it would not come out. Along came a squirrel, then a turtle, and finally a snail, who all hang onto each other, working together to pull out the great big carrot.

Craft
“Bunny Ears”
This is a very simple one. The ears can be drawn on construction paper of various colors and the children can select which colors they want.
Here’s another version from Kaboose.
Supplies
construction paper
crayons
tape
scissors
How to make them
1. Color the ears
2. Cut out the ears
3. Using the extra construction paper, cut out long strips. Tape two strips together.
4. Wrap the strip around the child’s head to measure the correct size
5. Tape the end together. This should fit snugly over the child’s forehead.
6. Tape on the bunny ears
