If you are anything like me, then it probably feels like this day was specially crafted with you in mind. Personally, I always keep a tub of coffee ice cream in my freezer and sometimes even at my friends’ homes, just in case. Along with books- stacks and stacks of soon-to-be-read books, at mine and my friends’ homes.

This month is also Library Card Sign-up month. You know what that means! Visit your local branch or our digital library, select a book to read or listen to, and serve yourself a mug of coffee ice cream or make yourself an affogato and get to reading! Bring a friend along and have them sign up for a card if they haven’t already.

Below is an assortment of books, some for reading while eating coffee ice cream, some to guide you in making the coffee ice cream, and others for traveling the world with while thinking about getting coffee and ice cream. In Japan, cats are a symbol of good luck. As the myth goes, if you are kind to them, they’ll one day return the favor. And if you are kind to the right cat, you might just find yourself invited to a mysterious coffee shop under a glittering Kyoto moon. This particular coffee shop is like no other. It has no fixed location, no fixed hours, and seemingly appears at random to adrift young people at crucial junctions in their lives. It’s also run by talking cats. While customers at the Full Moon Coffee Shop partake in cakes and coffees and teas, the cats also consult them on their star charts, offer cryptic wisdom, and let them know where their lives veered off course. Because every person who visits the shop has been feeling more than a little lost. And for a down-on-her-luck screenwriter, a romantically stuck movie director, a hopeful hairstylist and a technologically challenged website designer, the coffee shop’s feline guides will set them back on their fated paths. For there is a very special reason the shop appeared to each of them.”– Provided by publisher.

Bingsu for two by Sujin Witherspoon (Also on CloudLibrary)

Read

Teens River and Sarang must fake a relationship online to save Sarang’s Korean family café from going under.

But first, coffee : a guide to brewing from the kitchen to the bar

Read

Everything you need to know about brewing, using, and enjoying coffee at home, featuring more than 40 recipes, from morning cup to coffee-spiked nightcap.
